Maple Grove Staff,
It continues to be a busy summer here at MGE. I wanted to provide our team a few recent updates so we are all on all on the same page as we move toward the first day of school.
- We've interviewed and will be hiring 7 1/2 associates before school starts! We had some GREAT candidates and will have formal announcements soon.
- Increased enrollment this summer has pushed our MGE student total to nearly 670 students (up from 585 to end the year). Online registration that will take place over the next week will give us a better picture of what August 17th will bring to MGE, but...
- Increases to kindergarten and 1st grade has brought us to a point where we will be adding one section to each or those grade levels. This will bring us to six sections of K and five sections of 1st.
- Desiree' Miller will be assigned back to the 1st grade team.
- We will be hiring a K and 2nd grade teacher over the next week or so. If you know of quality teacher applicants out there, encourage them to apply and contact me ASAP.
- Due to added sections, room assignments changes are needed now
- New K Teacher in rm 627
- New 2 Teacher in rm 209
- Latcham will move from 627 to Learning Lab room 216
- Millsap will move from LL rm 216 to rm 326 (ELP)
- ELP will move from rm 408 or rm 415 (TBD)
